My first step is to do some online research and review several informative articles, blog, and videos. I take notes and write down questions about aspects of the topic I need to explore further. Once I feel I have a good enough understanding to start writing, I develop an outline or draft and go from there. Most of the time I can find everything I need online. Sometimes however, I go back to the client or subject matter expert to clarify some points, can you name a company? You think is currently doing an excellent job with their content marketing? Last year, a new day care center opened up in my neighborhood. A friend was impressed by their website and encourage me to check it out. I was impressed, too. They've done an excellent job, including content about child safety, age, appropriate family activities and exercises, and healthy snack choices for toddlers. There was a lot of value on the site even for those who weren't currently interested in daycare services. This was a great strategy because parents just might use the site as a resource.
